ZHOU--Shuxian. Ms. Shuxian Zhou passed away peacefully in her home with her family by her side on the morning of November 4, 2016 in Bedminster, NJ. Ms. Shuxian Zhou was born on June 25, 1928 in Meishan, Sichuan, China and was the youngest of five children. She graduated from Huamei, a prestigious all-girls boarding school in Chengdu, China, and earned her Bachelor Degree in Chemistry from Sichuan University. For decades, she held a position as the Head of Research for Adhesives at the Chinese Institute of Chemical Industry of Forest Products until her retirement in the early 1990s. On October 18, 2011, Shuxian Zhou moved with her late husband, Zian Su, from Nanjing, China to the United States to be with their family. She will be remembered as a sharp, vivacious, loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. Ms. Zhou had a lifelong love for Sichuan cuisine and a passion for reading newspapers. She is survived by her two children, Xiaozhou and Xiaoping Su; her five granddaughters, Maria, Michelle and Monica Su, and Caroline and Catherine Zhu; her son-in-law, Song Zhu; and her daughter-in-law, Beilin Xiao. Her life will be forever celebrated and her legacy forever remembered by her family. Ms. Zhou will join her husband at the mausoleum at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
