Teresa Ann "Terry" (Sichting) Martin September 18, 1956 - January 7, 2017Teresa Ann "Terry" (Sichting) Martin, 60, of Martinsville, passed away at 5:50 a.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home.  She was born on Tuesday, September 18, 1956 in Martinsville, Indiana, to Harold T. Sichting and the late Judith Ann (Kinder) Sichting.Terry was a 1975 graduate of Martinsville High School. She started her career as a secretary at Farm Bureau Insurance and was there for five years. She then went to Brooklyn Elementary where she was secretary for several years. Terry later worked at Costin Funeral Chapel where she helped so many families with her wonderful way of caring. But the responsibility that she loved most was that of being a wife, mother and grandmother.Terry was a lifelong member of the Liberty Christian Church. She had a personal relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, after whom she modeled her life.  She was faithful to the point of death and especially took comfort from her favorite verses from Mark 11:22-25, and 2 Corinthians 1:3-7.In addition to church activities, she enjoyed playing with her granddaughters, camping, cooking and traveling with her husband, Joe.Survivors are her husband Joe Martin, whom she married on May 6, 1978; children, David Martin and wife Megan of Martinsville and Lori Williams and husband Ryan of Beech Grove; father and stepmother, Harold and Jo Anne Sichting of Martinsville; sister, Sherry Miller of Ellettsville; stepsister, Julie (Sheets) Reeves; stepbrother, Chris Sheets; granddaughters, Elizabeth Williams, Emily Williams, Madelyn Martin and Hannah Martin.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at the Liberty Christian Church, 2010 Liberty Church Road, Martinsville, IN  46151, Pastor Rocky Baire officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday one hour prior to the funeral service.
