Theodore KatseanesTheodore "Ted" A. Katseanes, 81 of Blackfoot, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at his home following a short illness.He was born on March 30, 1932 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Angel and Ada Lucinda Bingham Katseanes. He attended school in Blackfoot, graduating from Blackfoot High School. Following graduation he attended the University of Idaho for one year.During his lifetime he has lived in Blackfoot, Idaho Falls and Hamer, Idaho and in Winnemucca, Nevada.On September 10, 1951 he married Rodonna Cammack in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple.He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in The Groveland 1st Ward. Ted has served as a home teacher and as the Young Men's Athletic Director.He was also a member of the Blackfoot Elk's Lodge.Ted has been a farmer most of his life, he spent many of his younger years ranching, involved in sheep and cattle, working with his brothers, then with Ted and his sons, Rich and Tom. They own and operate Triple K Farms. Ted was always active, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, skiing, and snowmobiling. In his younger years he boxed and was quarterback at the University of Idaho, he also enjoyed coaching little league football.Ted was always interested and supportive of his sons and daughter, he was their biggest fan and was proud of their accomplishments.He is survived by his wife, Rodonna of Blackfoot; his sons, Richard (Debbie) of Idaho Falls, Tom (Kaye) of Pocatello, Alan (Kathleen) of Boise, Idaho, Kris (Laurie) of Boise, Idaho, John (Kate) of Elko, Nevada; his daughter Angella Grosely of Salt Lake City, Utah; one brother George (JoAnn) Katseanes of Rockford; one sister, Joan (Doug) Raymond of Idaho Falls; seventeen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Tommy, Andrew and Harry, and sisters, Martha Carmichael , Margarite Felsted and Florence Hubbard.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2013 at the Groveland LDS Church. The family will meet with friends and relatives from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Hawker Funeral Home, 132 S. Shilling Ave. and again for one hour prior to services at the church.
