Thomas J. Cook, age 64, of Bath, formerly of Painted Post, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was born on March 4, 1952 in Corning, the son of Mahlon and Lucille (Hickey) Cook. Thomas was active as an artist, loved hunting, fishing, gardening and taking care of his flowers. He enjoyed the outdoors, bowling, and listening to all types of music especially country. Thomas attended Victory Highway Wesleyan Church. He is survived by his daughter, Theresa (Kerry Dean) Burton of Campbell, brothers, Mahlon Jr. (Mary Rose) Cook of Corning and Theodore (Maribel) Cook of Horseheads, sister, Kathryn (Robert) Kelley of Corning, grandchildren, Kayla Evans and Trinity Dean, aunts, Ruth (Melvin) Smith of Penfield, Esther Stanton of Painted Post, and Grace (Charles) Campbell of Stuarts Draft , VA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Thomas was predeceased by his brother, Daniel Cook and his parents, Mahlon Sr. and Lucille Cook. Family and friends are invited to call at Carpenter's Funeral Home, 14 East Pulteney Street, Corning, on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Thomas's celebration of life service will follow there at 4:00 pm. Burial will take place at Goodsell Cemetery on Saturday at 10:00 am.
