Vanessa Mcclain, 37, of Nashville, passed Monday January 4, 2016 at her home in Jackson ,TN. She was born June 29, 1978 in Nashville, TN to Keith McClain and Bernetta McKnight.

Surviving are her mother Bernetta Mcknight of Nashville, three sons, Romeo, Jaylan, and Elijah McClain, three sisters Brittany McClain and Keisha and Katherine Mcknight of Atlanta, GA, one brother Patrick Mcknight, three nephews, Kobe, Jordan, and Keymari McKnight, and several cousins.

Vanessa's father preceded her in death.

Vanessa was a long time resident of Jackson where she lived since leaving her childhood home in Nashville, TN at the age of 10. She graduated from Northside High School in 1997 and was an accountant for Lane College (Her Alma Mater).

She loved to cook and enjoyed entertaining and playing cards with her friends. She also loved traveling and spent a lot of her spare time mentoring students.

The visitation is from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM on Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Patterson Family Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM on Saturday, January 9, 2016 also at the Patterson Family Funeral Home. Reverend William Cunningham will be officiating. The burial will be at Parkway Memorial Gardens.
