William Ellis called Bill by family and friends, was born in Anderson, South Carolina on June 30,1944 to Anna Smith and John Ellis. 

William moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1956. He then married his beautiful wife Patricia Brown. He worked as a security guard for Legacy Village. He had a strong mind for technology and building techniques. He love listening to the Blues and playing the harmonica. 

He fought a long battle with cancer. His cancer had been in remission for 4 years and came back even harder in the past 6 months. His spirits were lifted by the visitation of family and friends. 

His love for God led him to join Mt. Sinai Baptist Chruch in 1958. God who knows him best called him home on May 30,2020. There he will reunite with his mother and father Anna and John Ellis. Also his wife Patricia Ellis who preceded him in death.

He leaves to cherish his memory: Five loving children;Two Sons Lamont Ellis, Tyrone Ellis. Three Daughers Cherrisse Ellis,(Geoff) Charmaine Ellis and Latoya Ellis. He also leaves behind Fourteen Grandchildren.
