Hill, William James Jr. "Bill" died peacefully at his home on February 20, 2017, in Phoenix, Arizona, at the age of 79. Bill was born on August 20, 1937, in Cambridge, New York, to William and Harriet Hill. He graduated from Greenwich High School in 1955. Bill began working for Carmody Ford as a parts man in Greenwich, New York, and after moving to Phoenix, Arizona, in 1970, he continued in the career for 50 years. Bill is survived by his children, David W. Hill of Peoria, Arizona, and Michael J. Hill of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and their wives; and his grandchildren, Eric W. Hill (with his wife and daughters) of Morenci, Arizona; and Abby Lynn Hill of Tucson, Arizona. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Jean Hill; and his sisters, Mary Lyons of Melrose, New York, and Jean Beardsley of Au Sable Forks, New York. Bill was passionate about bicycles and classic cars, which was expressed in his refurbishing and collecting of many historic bicycles. He often volunteered at Church Youth Groups (Awana) and John C. Lincoln Hospital's Thrift Shop-Treasure Trove. A memorial service celebrating Bill's life will be at Echo Mountain Church 19051 N. 20th Place Phoenix, Arizona 85024 on Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 2-5PM.
