Hanselman, William W. "Squirrel"William Woodrow Hanselman "Squirrel", age 70, passed away holding his two son's hands at his home in Kaukauna on Friday, November 9, 2017, after a long struggle with cancer. He was born on May 2, 1947 to the late Woodrow and Esther (Moreau) Hanselman in Dale. He attended elementary school in Eagle River and graduated from Kewaskum High school, where he participated in football, wrestling and track. Bill briefly attended the UW Oshkosh before entering the U.S.
Army and serving in Vietnam. Bill grew up at the Birds Nest Resort in Eagle River where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycle and watching his grandkids play sports. Bill lived life to the fullest, like one endless party!Bill is survived by his son, William (Angie), Neenah; two grandchildren Payton and Chase and son Robert, Kiel; a sister, Eileen (Terry) Kuhlers, Eagle River and brother, David (Marguerite), Eagle River. Bill was preceded in death by his parentsServices for Bill will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Borchardt Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Full military honors will be held. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery in Dale.
