Sam Rivers was born on August 22nd , 1943 to the late Martha and Sampson Rivers. He departed this life on April 4, 2016.

Sam retired from Columbia Mills in 2001. He enjoyed fishing, family and driving. He was well known in the community as Mr. Sam and he never met a stranger. He was the husband of the late Mary Rivers.

Left to cherish his memory are two daughters: Kathy Rivers-Holmes-(Randy) and Freda Rivers both of Columbia, SC; three sons: Keith Rivers, Paul Rivers and Sammy (Barbara) Rivers all by the way of Columbia; his precious grandkids: Keith Gratic, Wadelhia Gratic, Catie Moore, Sammy Rivers Jr., Baton Rivers, and  Randy Holmes Jr.; four great-grands, a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.

Sam will truly be missed.
