Lauson, A. Randolf (Duke)A. Randolf (Duke) Lauson, age 95, a Ft. Myers, FL resident, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Emeritus Heavenly Helpers, FL.Duke was born on September 7, 1920 in Milwaukee, WI, son of the late A. Rudolph and Carol Lauson. On August 22, 1941 he married the former Ann Altvater in Baltimore, Maryland. She preceded him in death on September 25, 2007. Duke served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. Duke was owner and operator of Lauson Chevrolet in Manitowoc for several years until his retirement. He was also one of the co-founders of Manitowoc County Bank, where he was on the Board of Directors for many years. Duke was also a member of the Elks Club. He was an avid Bridge player and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers.Survivors include two sons: A. Randolf Lauson, Jr. and Steve Lauson, one daughter: Bonnie Tyson, eight grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.As per Duke's wishes, there will be no services at this time.Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family by visiting www.pfefferfuneralhome.comThe Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.The family would like to thank the staff at Emeritus Heavenly Helpers, and Hospice for the tender care given to their family.
