A.J. "Bud" Roberts Age 94, passed away on October 28, 2017 after a short illness. He was born on April 13, 1923 at Tacoma General Hospital to Abner and Mabel Roberts. Bud graduated from Lincoln High School and served in the
Army Air Corp during
World War II. He established and served as President of Utility Supply Company. He also volunteered as a deputy sheriff and detective in Thurston County, WA for many years. In 1975, Bud was Potentate of the Afifi Shrine Temple in Tacoma. In addition to his years of service as a Shriner, he was a big supporter of youth sports in Pierce County. He was pre-deceased by his parents and his son, Douglas Roberts. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jacqueline Roberts; daughter - Gayle Roberts; step-children - Carrie Bonner, Keith Lykken, Jennie Christin, and Norma Mueller; 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. At his request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, the Boy's and Girl's Club of Pierce County or the .
