Acie “Mr. C” Cook, Jr. (84) of Greensboro, N.C. passed away on October 08, 2024, at his daughter’s home following a rapid illness surrounded by loved ones. Lovingly known to many as, “Mr. C. he was born in Rockingham County on May 1, 1940, and raised in various parts of upstate New York.

Amongst his traveling, Acie grew up farming and eventually worked for years at Cone Mills textile plant in Greensboro as a machine operator. He was an avid baseball fan, who enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, being outdoors and spending time with family and friends. Mr. C never met a stranger and loved sharing stories of his life’s adventures of living up and down the east coast.

Preceding him in death is his father, Jeremy Cook; mother, Maude Eva Fields, and sisters; Ollie Mae Fields, Gloria Delane Fields, and Lillie Bell Cook.

Mr. C leaves to cherish fond memories two loving daughters, Levitis Cook Clora (Sam) of Southfield Michigan and Lisa Cook Palmer of Greensboro; four grandchildren, Anthony Palmer, Sierra Palmer, Joya Palmer of Greensboro, and Mesha Cook of Detroit, Michigan; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Myrtle Fields Withers of Reidsville, N.C., Mary Hellen Badgett and Loretta Fields of Amityville NY., Zelma Cook- Fields of Whitsett, N.C.; brother, Lawrence Joe  Fields of Greensboro, N.C.; one living auntie, Estelle Fields; and a host of nieces and nephews. Coleman loved by special friends, Danielle Coachman, Sinatra Alston, Renee LeGrand and Angelina Graves of Flint, Michigan. 

A Memorial Service will take place at 12:00 noon at the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home, 206 Fourth Street, High Point, on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
