Adam Joseph Arceneaux, Jr.A Funeral Mass for Mr. Arceneaux will be held Monday, August 7, 2017, 10 AM at St. Jude's Catholic Church in Benton, LA. Father Karl Daigle will officiate. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 5 PM to 8 PM, with a Vigil scheduled for 7 PM, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Haughton, LA.Serving as pallbearers for Monday's service are Richard S. Arceneaux, Joseph P. Arceneaux, Jacob A. Arceneaux, Steven White, Sean Harrison, and Robbie Harrison.He was born on November 30, 1926 in Gonzales, Louisiana. He retired from the State Times and Morning Advocate Newspaper in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Adam was a long time member of Saint Gerard Majella Catholic Church in Baton Rouge; where he served as an usher and in the Holy Name Society. He moved to Bossier City in 2011, and was a member of Saint Jude's. He belonged to The Knights of Columbus Bossier Council #4873 and was a 4 Degree member of Msg. Chenevert Assembly 2100. After a full ninety years, the Lord called him home on Wednesday, August 2, 2017.Preceding Mr. Arceneaux in death are his parents Adam J. Arceneaux, Sr. and Lucile Arceneaux; loving wife Alva Lou Arceneaux; and son Richard Arceneaux. Left here to cherish his memory are son Don Ray Arceneaux and spouse Judy D. Arceneaux; grandchildren Richard S. Arceneaux, Joseph P. Arceneaux, Jacob A. Arceneaux and Alicia A. White; and great grandchildren Iryana Arceneaux, Nicholas B. Arceneaux, Grayson Arceneaux and Leon White.
