Our beloved, Adrian Montes, 22, passed away on October 10, 2017, surrounded by loved ones, after a valiant, lengthy battle with cancer. Adrian was born on May 1, 1995 to proud parents Sandra Ordaz Montes and Jaime Montes, both of El Paso. He attended Benito Martinez Elementary, Montwood Middle School and graduated from Montwood High School in 2013. Adrian had a passion for Pokemon, as evident by his Arcanine tattoo and he enjoyed all things Star Wars, including his favorite character Boba Fett. He loved post-hardcore music and attending concerts. He also enjoyed the company of his many loyal friends and his loving family. Throughout his journey, one filled with great pain and strife, Adrian always remained positive. His giant heart was always concerned with the well-being of others, even while fighting the battle of his lifetime. A great warrior, his smile, sense of humor and beautiful green eyes will now shine down on us and he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his parents Sandra Ordaz Montes and Jaime Montes, loving younger brother Matthew Montes, Grandmothers Lois Kelley, Frances Montes, Martha Ordaz, Grandfather Ariel Ordaz and his countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Memorial Service: Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mt. Carmel Funeral Home, 1755 N. Zaragoza, with a Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM. Reception and balloon launch to follow at John Lyons Park on 11510 Cheryl Ladd.
