Adrian SteinbergAdrian Lawrence Steinberg, 76, of Passaic, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 28, surrounded by his devoted family.Adrian was born on July 24, 1941 to Donald and Ruth (Zuckerman) Steinberg in Passaic. He attended Passaic High School participating in Marching Band (clarinet), Debate and Spanish clubs.Adrian studied Spanish at Rutgers University and spent his Junior Year in Madrid. He taught Spanish at Dickinson College and Temple University. Adrian worked in Philadelphia at the Governor's Council on Opportunity for the Spanish-Speaking working on programs to help Hispanic immigrants obtain employment and other services. Adrian then ran his family business, Eveready Pest Control, in Passaic for 34 years.Adrian loved jazz and rock and roll music, movies, traveling, dining on steak and seafood, and telling corny jokes. He was happiest when at the beach and spending time with family and friends. Adrian is survived by his wife, Maria Steinberg; daughters, Amber Stein (Ethan) and Jennifer Earle; grandchildren, Aaron, Joshua, Rebecca, and Simone; brother Robert Steinberg (Elizabeth) and sister Sharon Peterson (Tom). He is predeceased by his sister, Helaine Obolsky.Funeral services will be held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel in Clifton on Friday, August 4 at 11am.
