Agnes M. SmalkowskiMelbourneAgnes M. Smalkowski passed away peacefully on May 3, 2017. She was 85 years old.Agnes was born on February 19, 1932 in Glen Cove, NY to Mary and Thomas Baran. She was a devoted and much loved wife to her late husband, Frank, for 61 yrs., loving mother to Sharon (Charles) Whyte, Thomas and Michael (Dee), adored Mom-Mom to Stacey (Steven) Timmreck, Matthew (Justine), Kyle (Kenley), Justin and Kyra, Great Mom-Mom to Charlie and Luke, an endearing sister to Richard (Margaret), Elizabeth Gates, Robert (Linda), the late Mary Ruber, Ann Billings and Theresa Baran, and a dear aunt, godmother, and friend to many.After working as a secretary at Sen-dure Products and the Pilgrim Psychiatric Center in NY, Agnes retired to FL and spent many fulfilling years as a volunteer at Habitat for Humanity. She was a member of the Braggadocios Space Cadets chapter of the Red Hats. Agnes enjoyed reading, needlecraft, beading and a glass of Southern Comfort. She will be remembered as a loving, kind and caring lady. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Agnes will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her and will be in our hearts forever.The family wishes to thank the staff at the Palm Bay Kidney Center for the wonderful care they provided Agnes during her many years of treatment.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1626 Oak. St., Melbourne, Fl on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 10am, preceded by visitation at 9 am.In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to Habitat for Humanity, 4515 S.
