Nysse, AgnesAgnes E. Nysse, age 90 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 07, 2016 at Angels Grace Hospice Center in Oconomowoc, WI. She was born on January 16, 1926 in Hortonville, WI., the daughter of John and Mary Nieuwenhuis. She married the love of her life Willard R. Nysse on August 11, 1945 in Hortonville, WI. Agnes loved being surrounded by family and friends. She loved being active and enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, and in her younger days (up until she was 75) she enjoyed an afternoon bowling league. She also enjoyed an occasional afternoon with her daughters playing penny slots at the casino. She was a volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton for over 40 years. She made many friends while enjoying her varied activities. She spent many years gardening and growing beautiful flowers indoors and outdoors.Agnes is survived by her five children, Donna (Robert) Danielsen, Rochester, MN, Sharon Davison, Milwaukee, WI, Noreen (LeRoy) Young, Black Creek, WI, Ellen (Charles) Leuck, Fennimore, WI, and Gerald (Cathy) Nysse, Delafield, WI. She was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 9 step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Willard on February 7, 1985, her two brothers Francis and Eugene, two sisters Edith and Helen, one step-grandson Michael Leuck, and one great-granddaughter Brooke Danielsen.A celebration of Life will be held on December 13, 2016 at ST. BERNADETTES CATHOLIC CHURCH 2331 East Lourdes Drive Appleton, WI., with Fr. Don Zuleger presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:30.
