CONCORDIA — The family and the skateboarding world are mourning the loss of 28 year old Alan Delano Cantrell Jr., of Sedalia, who passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2016 in Concordia, MO.
He was born on June 2, 1988 in Maui, Hawaii, the son of Alan Delano Cantrell Sr., who preceded him in death and Rita L. (Pierce) Ditzfeld, who resides in Sedalia.
His passion for skating and making people smile had always been contagious to those around him.
Besides his mother, Rita, he is also survived by a sister, Sara Cantrell, three brothers, Aran Cantrell, Jesse Thompson and Sean Pierce and his wife Terri; grandparents, Garnett and Mary Lou Pierce; several aunts and uncles, two nieces; and many cousins. Along with Alan's father he was also preceded in death by his Grandparents Lloyd Cantrell and Genevieve Becerra as well as several other loved ones.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Rea Funeral Chapel with Ed Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. The family invites anyone who knew Alan to attend an after service skate session and pot luck at Katy Park following the service.
