Albert D. Ramirez, 89, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. Albert was born on June 23, 1923, and was the eldest of nine children. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and fought in WWII. He married in 1946 and became the father of four children, Alberta, Roberta, Michael, and Joseph. He had seven grandchildren and seven great- great-grandchildren. Albert retired from Yuma Proving Grounds. He was also a member of American Legion Post 19, The Eagles, and V.F.W. Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel on Friday, July 27, 2012, from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Funeraria del Angel Chapel.
