BAKER SR., ALBERT E.BAKER ALBERT E. SR. Age 92 of Horseheads, NY passed away on Wednesday May 3, 2017. Al was born on February 7, 1925 in Canandaigua, NY the son of the late Merle and Helen Gilbert Baker. He was a Veteran of WWII serving his country with the U.S. Army. He married his wife Jean Jacobs Baker on August 20, 1949 and they would have Celebrated their 68th Wedding Anniversary on August 20, 2017. Mr. Baker had worked at Artistic Card in Elmira, NY for 26 years and retired from Seneca Beverage as a salesman. In addition to his parents, Al was pre-deceased by his son Donald Edward Baker on January 29, 1956, and his sisters: Muriel Allen, Florence Tenny, and Gail Burdick, and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Barbara Cross, and Robert Jacobs. He loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. He is survived by his beloved wife Jean Jacobs Baker; sons and daughter-in-law: Albert E. and Maria Baker Jr. of Northfield, IL and Ronald E. Baker of Horseheads, NY; loving grandchildren: Carroll, Michael, and Albert B. Baker, and Samantha and Stephanie Baker; sisters: Margaret Kowalski of Horseheads, NY and Donna and Bruce Sprague of Horseheads, NY; brothers and sisters-in-law: Merle "Butch" and Bonnie Baker of Odessa, NY and Kenneth and Diane Baker of Horseheads, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Monday May 8, 2017 from 12Noon-2PM. Mr. Baker's Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 2PM. Al will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads, NY.
