Albert Frederick Levaggi Jr., 84, of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2016 at home under the care of his loving family and hospice after a brief illness. He was born on July 28, 1932 in Brockton to the late Albert F. and Edith (Fries) Levaggi, Sr. After graduating from Brockton High School in 1951. Al attended Industrial Technical School in Boston. He then joined the
Army and proudly served his country for 3 years including a deployment to Salzburg, Austria. Al worked for many years as a last designer for Woodard and Wright Last Co./Vulcan Corp. He was then employed as an HVAC technician for Viking Sheet Metal until his retirement in 2003. Al was a lifelong Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots fan. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and working on home-improvement projects. He was the consummate handyman | there was nothing he couldnt fix. He was the loving husband of 63 years to Janet L. (Moon) Levaggi of Bridgewater. He was the beloved father of Victor Levaggi of Middleboro, daughter-in-law Kimberly Levaggi of Bridgewater and the late Kristine (Levaggi) Sergi and Albert E. Levaggi. He was the treasured grandfather of Rebeckah Sergi of Abington, Amanda Sergi of Plainville, Alyssa Levaggi of East Freetown, Chelsea, Victor and Lucas Levaggi of Bridgewater and great-grandfather to Harper and Holden Bonanca of East Freetown. He is predeceased by his two wonderful sisters Shir-lee (Levaggi) Johnson and Betty (Levaggi) Towne. He also leaves behind special friends Paul Lawson and Jonathan Gray as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. A private interment will be held at a later date.
