Albert "Bert" Myers, 64, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2009. Albert was born on August 16, 1944 in Columbia, South Carolina to Arthur Warren and Isobel Joyce Myers. Albert was a veteran of the U.S.
Army. Albert was an artillery field observer with Trax International (ECIII), test services division at the time of his passing. He was an observer for over 25 years. He was a valued employee and friend. His dedication and willingness to always go above and beyond the call of duty was remarkable. "Bert" and "Mert" met in Old Town Yuma in 1983 and were married on Christmas Eve of the same year. Albert admired and was admired for his contributions to the world of art. His awareness and attention to detail will be missed by many. Many more will miss the cartoons on coffee shop napkins. Albert is survived by his wife, "Mert" of Yuma; son, Joseph A. Myers of California; daughters, Kristen J. Sionne of California, and Lillian T. Beams of New Mexico; grandson, Joseph Sionne of California; granddaughter, Emily Ybarra of Yuma; step-father, Joseph Pavelich of Montana; brother, Matthew Pavelich of Montana; numerous relatives, friends and loved ones. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Warren and Isobel Joyce Myers. A memorial service was held at Sunset Vista Funeral Home on Monday, April 13, 2009 at 4 p.m. Officiated by Pastor Don Fugate.
