Albert Richard EscobarPort Hueneme, CAAlbert Richard Escobar, 69, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday December 7th after a 4 month fight with brain cancer. Albert was born on May 29, 1947 in Oxnard and was a lifelong resident of Ventura County. Albert was a member of the Oxnard High School Class of 1965 and after graduation served proudly in the US Army from '67 -'69. After returning from service he began his career as a registered nurse which lasted more than 30 years. In his retirement he enjoyed driving cars for Pacific Vehicle Processors and volunteering with the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Kim (Ben), sons Chris and Andrew, grandchildren Joe, Chris, Brian, Marcus, Madison, Nathan, and Nico, great-granddaughter Addie and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. He is preceded in death by his mother Carmelita Lorenzana, father Thomas Moraga and siblings Elmer, Gloria, Tomasita, Joe, Julia and Thomas. Al, also affectionately known as "Chapo", was the life of any celebration he attended and a consummate jokester. His friendly disposition and outgoing personality made Chapo loved by many and liked by many more. We would like to thank his doctors and nurses for their caring and compassion. A memorial service will take place in the near future.
