Albert grew up in Beacon Falls, CT, and graduated from Naugatuck High School, Class of 1962. He served six years in the National Guard. He was a Tool and Die Specialist for Pratt & Whitney until he joined his father, Albert Sr., in the family business, Sorrentino Well Drilling, in Oxford, CT. After his father's retirement, Al continued operating the company servicing the local and tri-state areas. He later father's business and retired in 1996. Not content to sit idle, Al embarked on a successful real estate career with Prudential Transact Co. and finally retired in 2007. He also worked part-time at Publix Supermarkets and frequently volunteered at Halifax Hospice, a local healthcare facility. He took great delight in raising his two sons and sharing their journey as they grew. He loved to cook and so enjoyed bringing good cheer and food to those he loved! His hobbies included planting his sustainable year-round organic garden, fishing, cooking, reading, and more. He leaves his wife and companion of 35 years, Patricia (Griswold) Sorrentino; 2 sons- David (Katie); Donald (Lisa) and three grandchildren: Izabella, Nikko, and Benito and his daughter Andrea (Lorusso) LaFrance(James). Heaven has gained a beautiful soul who brought light and laughter to all those he loved. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Children'salth Hospice at halifaxhealth.org/hospice, or Disabled American Vets.
