“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”

On Wednesday Morning, February 10, 2021, in Charlotte, N.C. God saw she was tired and he entered the hospital room of Alberta Floson and took her to his heavenly home. “Ms. Bert” as most called her was the daughter of the late Amelia Foxworth and James Foxworth (stepfather). Alberta was born May 23, 1944 in Washington D.C.

She attended Miami Dade Public Schools and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Miami, Florida. She worked for many years at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami Florida, where she retired. She relocated to Atlantic Beach, SC. She was an only child and her famous slogan “My Baby” will forever be in her legacy.

She was preceded in death by her grandson Jamel Floson.

She leaves to cherish her memories her 9 children, Thelma Carrasquillo (Raymon) Miami, FL, Joseph Thomas (Linda) Charlotte, NC, Teddy Floson Miami, FL, Shawn Floson Miami, FL, Gussie Michelle Floson Atlantic Beach, SC, Ali Floson Cleveland, OH, Tody Floson New Jersey, Omar Floson Atlantic Beach, SC, Christopher Floson (Lakeea) Charlotte, NC. 38 Grandchildren and 45 Great Grandchildren. God daughter Keyrita Grissett and her best friend for many years Ella Sinclair, and a host of other family members and friends.“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”
