Alberta Theresa BachmanKnoxville, TNAlberta Theresa Bachman, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. She was born on March 30, 1932, in Perth Amboy, NJ and moved to Knoxville, TN in 1998. Mrs. Bachman graduated from Douglass College (Rutgers University) with a B.A. in Music (Piano) and enjoyed a career as a music educator, church organist and choir director. She was a past president of The Quiet Hour Club of Metuchen, NJ, a cultural and literary women's study club, a member of the Ninety-Nines, an international association of women pilots, and a past president of the Knoxville Museum of Art Volunteers. She was always an incredible gourmet cook for family and friends, an avid reader, and for many years she enjoyed flying her Cherokee 180 plane.She was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Winifred (Bulvanoski) Bielen; her stepmother, Stasia Bielen (Kowalski); brother, Monsignor Stephen Bielen; and sister, Clara Palmer. She is survived by her husband, Donald; four children, Christopher, of Pearl River, NY, Daniel, of Sea Girt, NJ, Maria, of Murfreesboro, TN, Thea, of Scotch Plains, NJ; seven grandchildren; sister, Silvia Bielen, of Asbury Park, NJ; and her sweet boxer, "Kaidie."Alberta's family will receive friends on Saturday, December 3, from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel. The celebration of life service will follow at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Alberta's name be made to the University of Tennessee School of Music Enrichment Fund,
