Alfonso Bell, a beloved member of the Arkansas City community, passed away on June 25, 2023, at the age of 77. Born on September 18, 1945, Alfonso had a zest for life that was contagious.

Alfonso was a true son of Arkansas City, having attended and graduated from Arkansas City High School. He always cherished the memories and friendships he made during those formative years. After completing his education, Alfonso bravely served in the Marines, where he developed a strong sense of duty and honor that would guide him throughout his life.

Alfonso pursued a career as an electrician, spreading light wherever he went. His talent for fixing things and knack for problem-solving made him a highly sought-after tradesman in the community. Alfonso was known for both his skill and his warm personality; he always left a sparkly impression on his clients.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Alfonso's heart truly overflowed when it came to his family. He and his partner, Cassietta Bell, were blessed with three wonderful children: Alfred, Rena, and Daisy. Alfonso loved nothing more than spending time with his children, doting on them and providing them with guidance as they navigated through life. He took great pride in their successes and supported them fiercely through any challenges.

As a proud grandfather, Alfonso reveled in the joys of having nine grandchildren. They brought immense happiness and laughter to his life. Alfonso always made sure to shower them with love, sharing stories of his adventures and imparting wisdom gained from his own life experiences.

Alfonso approached every day with a contagious lightheartedness. He had an infectious laugh that could brighten the cloudiest of days and a smile that warmed the hearts of those around him. He brought joy and humor into the lives of everyone he met, leaving a lasting impression that will never be forgotten.

Tragically, Alfonso was taken from us too soon due to a stabbing incident. We are devastated by the loss of such a remarkable individual whose light shone brightly in our community. Alfonso will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the memories we shared with him.
