Alfred Andre'lous LockettAUSTIN, TXAlfred Andre'lous Lockett, 48, of Austin, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. The funeral will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017, at the King Solomon Baptist Church, 1050 Minda Street, at 10:00AM followed by a burial in the Abilene Municipal Cemetery, near his maternal grandparents and an aunt and uncle. A Wake/Viewing will be held Friday, September 22, 2017, at the Valley View Missionary Baptist Church, 3564 Clinton Street, 79603, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM."Andre'" or "Dre", as he was affectionately called by his mother, and eventually most of his relatives and friends, was born on November 27, 1968, to Marjorie Lockett-Hutchinson and Alfred Hawthorne Jr., in Abilene, Texas. Andre' was a 1987 graduate of Cooper High School and attended Prairie View A&M University. Andre' was employed by the ITS Department at the
University of Texas. Accepting Christ at an early age, Andre' was baptized at the age of seven. During his stay in Abilene, Andre' was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. When he moved to live in Austin, Andre' united with the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.Andre' was preceded in death by his father, Rev. L.W. Hutchinson; his grandparents, Rev. Tom Lockett and Lenora Marie Munson Lockett; two uncles, Hardie Lockett and Leonard Lockett; and four aunts, Dorothy Arberry, Tommie Williams, Lula Royals, and Bobbie Nash. Andre' leaves to mourn his mother, Marjorie Lockett-Hutchinson of Abilene; uncles, Col. Carl Lockett (Ret) and Allan Lockett, both of Abilene, Jerry Hutchinson, Raydel Hutchinson both of Wichita Falls, and Willie Hutchinson of Oklahoma; aunt, Brienda Lockett-Middelton; and Aldena Hutchinson of Washington; four sisters and four brothers in relation to his father: Lisa Hutchinson of Rowlett, Texas, Lorrain Greer of Grand Prairie, Texas, Tanya (John) Cosby of Yukon, Oklahoma, and Sophia (Arthur) Westbrook of Oklahoma City OK; four brothers, Joseph Greer and Tony Jordan of Wichita Falls, Texas, Jamar Gilliam of Arlington, Texas, and Keith (Chasity) Hutchinson of Dallas, Texas; and many cousins and friends.
