LOGAN, Utah - Alfredo Sanchez Calvo, 72, died on Saturday morning, Jan. 3, 2009, at the Sunshine Terrace. He was born on Sept. 15, 1936, in Tenancingo, Mexico, to Pastor Sanchez and Livoria Calvo. He married Marie Guadalupe Mendez on April 23, 1960. He is a member of the Catholic Church, St. Thomas Aquinas Parish. Alfredo will forever live in our hearts. We Love You! He is survived by his children, five sons and three daughters, Edmundo (Irene) Sanchez, Logan, Utah, Elvira Sanchez (Reynaldo Rogel), Mexico, Mexico, Gustavo (Esperanza) Sanchez, Logan, Utah, Macrina (Lino Morales) Sanchez, Logan, Utah, Alfredo (Silvia) Sanchez, Jr., Anaheim, Calif., Lauro (Guadalupe) Sanchez, Layton, Utah, Fernando (Guadalupe) Sanchez, Logan, Utah, Marisol (Jesus) Sanchez, Logan, Utah; 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters, Emilio Sanchez, Oaxaca, Mexico, Gerardo Sanchez, Mexico, Mexico, Virginia Sanchez, Anaheim, Calif., and Gloria Sanchez, Logan, Utah. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria, on March 11, 2006. The family wishes to thank the Sunshine Terrace for all of their loving care and concern regard to our father, Alfredo. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2009, at 3 p.m. at the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 725 South 250 East, Hyde Park, Utah. There will be a viewing at the Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 East 1800 North, on Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., then on Wednesday from 2 to 2:30 p.m. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery.
