Alice L, Bakeman, 87Cold SpringJuly 22, 1930 - Nov. 1, 2017A gathering of family and friends will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud, for Alice L. Bakeman, formerly of Fresno, California, who died Wednesday at the Assumption home in Cold Spring. Inurnment will be at Maplewood Presbyterian Cemetery in Erhard at a later date.Alice was born on July 22, 1930 in Lilydale, MN to the late George and Mary (Walter) DuRose. She married Clifford Bakeman on March 1, 1947. Alice was a fantastic cook and she enjoyed tending to her garden; especially her roses. She enjoyed sewing, knitting. crocheting and needlepoint. Alice also collected cobalt blue dishes and teapots. She walked strongly in her faith and her unbreakable belief in Jehovah God's purpose for mankind and her deep faith and conviction in the resurrection. Alice was a devoted mother and wife as family was very important to her. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.Alice is survived by her children, James (Linnea) of Cold Spring, Joy Childrey of Kerman, CA, Jerrold (Ruth) of St. Cloud, Jeffrey (Susan) of Anacortes Island, WA and June (Felix) Torres of Fresno, CA; 15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren and sister, Laura Milbeck of Fergus Falls. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of over 62 years, Clifford; son, Johnny; 2 twin granddaughters; 2 brothers; and 3 sisters.
