Alice Maye Forsythe, age 69, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA. She was born on January 24, 1947, to the late Wilber and Twila R. (Osborne) Wolfe, in Brookville, PA. On November 27, 1965, she married Robert Lee Forsythe; Robert preceded her in death on March 23, 2000. For most of her life she worked hard cleaning houses; although she enjoyed the work, she loved her clients, and her relationships with them is what made the job fulfilling. In addition to cleaning houses she spent time working as the Deli Manager for Bilo. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, #983, in Brookville, PA and the Fireman's Club in Brookville, PA. She was a very giving person and cared for others. She made special efforts for those who had experienced loss. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren, and would look forward to the holidays that allowed for beautiful family memories to be made. She enjoyed playing cards, and was very much a socialite; she simply enjoyed people. She is survived by 5 children, Robert P. (Olga) Forsythe of Florida; Darlene (Fiancé Doug) Forsythe of Brookville, PA; Molly (Randy) Miller of Brookville, PA; Daniel L. (Erika) Forsythe of Florida; Randy Forsythe of Brookville, PA; 5 siblings, Joseph A. "Art" Wolfe, Mary M. "Mont" Rose Wolfe, Donna M. Stahlman, Donald B. "Butch" Wolfe, and Ernest L. "Ernie" "Gomer" Wolfe; 4 granddaughters, Chelsea Galbraith, Hannah Marie Kirkwood, Maggie and Megan Miller; 2 grandsons, Michael Miller and Liam Forsythe. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by 4 siblings, Gertrude A. Wolfe, Clinton S. Wolfe, Louise L. "Sis" Shaffer, and Jack Wolfe. According to her wishes, there will not be a public service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville PA, 15825. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, #983, 270 Main St., Brookville PA, 15825.
