Brooklyn lost one of its brightest personalities on June 20th, 2023, when Alicia Gonzalez passed away at the age of 73.

Born on January 11th, 1950, Alicia was a lifelong enthusiast of all things fun and frivolous. She lived her life with endless energy, never hesitating to crack a joke or two or three.

Alicia's neighbors might remember her as the life of the block party or the one who always had the best Halloween decorations. But to her loved ones, she was so much more.

Whether she was baking banana bread, exploring new parts of the city, or bringing laughter to those around her, Alicia knew how to make any moment feel special.

Even in her final days, Alicia refused to take life too seriously. Her wit and humor were unwavering until the end.

Alicia leaves behind her family and countless friends who will miss her dearly. But they take comfort in the fact that her bright spirit will continue to shine on in their memories.

Rest in peace, Alicia Gonzalez. Thank you for sharing your light with all of us.
