He was born on the 25th of April 1931 in Gramercy Louisiana to Rene Aristille and Celima (Borne) Millet. Allen as a boy became interested in electronics and the radio so after high school, on the 2nd of June in 1949 he enlisted in the US Army and was assigned to the Signal Corps. Shortly after enlistment he was assigned to the Republic of Korea and served in the Korean War. After his enlistment he underwent additional training as a civilian working for Philco on Army Radar equipment in Japan where he met his future wife Tsuneko. The couple returned to the US where he first took a job with the Burroughs Corporation and later traveled to Tennessee to take a job with Oak Ridge National Laboratories (where he worked for 30 years) eventually becoming the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for the Lab. All during his life Allen stayed active in the community. He was with the BPOE in the Oak Ridge chapter for over a decade where he served as president of the chapter during the 1980s. He obtained his amateur radio license as a boy and was an avid HAM radio enthusiast most of his life. For the last few years he tirelessly worked as a Knight of Columbus (St John Neumann's church) in their honor guard. All during his life he devoted himself to his family, his church and his country. Allen is preceded in death by his father and mother, he leaves behind his wife Tsuneko, his daughters: Sandra Amburn and her husband Don, Angela Phillips and her fiancée Robert Whedbee, Debbie Friedmann and her husband Michael, and Cathy Bryant and her husband Scott. Additionally he leaves grandsons and daughters: Alexa Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Taylor Wilson, Cassie McDonald, Asia Montgomery, Brianna Montgomery, Chynna Montgomery, Deanna Montgomery, Baylor Bryant, and Madison Bryant. Great Grandchildren include: Morgan McDonald, Jameson, Anabelle Wilson, Dawn McDonald, Scarlet Wilson, and Sadie McDonald. Extended family in Louisiana include: Earl Millet, Clyde and Renee Rose (children Seth and Tyler), Billy and Jeanelle Waguespack (children Brandi and Brenne) Jody and Belinda Borne (children Lindsey and Wesley), Terry and Sybil Borne (children Troy and Kyle). Family in Texas includes Carol Ardizone (children Connie and Bud LeCompte) and Claire Hymel. Honorary Poll Bearers are: Earl Millet, Ryan Wilson, Brandon Wilson, Taylor Wilson, Don Amburn, Scott Bryant, Michael Freidmann, Michael McDonald, Michael Wilson, Baylor Bryant, Billy Waguespack, and Seth Rose. Family will receive friends from 10-11AM on Tuesday, August 1st at Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel followed by a remembrance ceremony at 11AM. Family and friends will afterwards gather at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 PM that same day with full military honors conferred by the East Tennessee State Veterans Honor Guard.
