Allie Jewell Gober GarySan Marcos, TXAllie Jewell Gober Gary, 89, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 in San Marcos, TX. Beloved wife for 69 years of William Curtis Gary, Sr. She is survived by a son, William Curtis (Buck) Gary, Jr., and Denise of Port Aransas, TX; and two grandsons, Brian Gary and Amy of Winston-Salem, NC, and Joshua Gary of San Marcos, TX. She has one great granddaughter, Jocelyn, of Winston-Salem, NC. She was born on June 23, 1927, in Tippah County Mississippi. She was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. She was an accomplished pianist and organist and played for several Baptist Churches over the years, including: Charjean, Fairlawn, and Richland. She was retired from the National Bank of Commerce and worked at Memphis State University in the athletic office. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00 PM on Friday, January 20 with funeral services to immediately follow. All services will be held at Memorial Park.
