Allison Battey Marshall Allison Battey Marshall, 57, loving wife (32 years) of Dayle E. Marshall, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from 5 to 7 PM at Anderson Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 11 AM at the Parish Church of Saint Helena. Following the service a reception will be held at Dayle and Allison's home on Coosaw Island; 15 Snapper Lane.Allison was born on May 17, 1959 on the US Naval Base Trinidad to Colden R. Battey, Jr. of Beaufort, SC and Paula Lengnick Harrell of Barnwell, SC. Allison was a graduate of University of South Carolina and earned a Masters in Autism Behavior from Florida Atlantic University. She received her Board Certified Behavior Analyst to better serve the Children of Beaufort County. Allison served as the Autism Manager for the Beaufort County School District, as well as a teacher to Special Needs students. Prior to her service to Beaufort County School District, she worked with Special Needs Children in Jupiter Florida. Allison dedicated her professional life to children with special needs and always put the needs of her students above herself. A native Beaufortonian, Allison lived in the Lowcountry for the majority of her adult life, where she graced all with her smile, kindness and ease of life. She relished the peaceful tranquility of the Lowcountry, and worked to maintain this life style for future generations. During the fall, Allison could be found cheering for her Gamecocks and Seahawks every weekend. She also enjoyed golf, travel, watching the ever changing tides of Coosaw River, boating, but most importantly Allison enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends. She is survived and loved by her husband Dayle E. Marshall, her father, Colden R. Battey, Jr. (Patricia), her mother Paula Lengnick Harrell (Dan) her two sons Joshua D. Marshall and Jason A. Marshall and her daughter Emily A. Marshall. She was a loved sister to her brother Colden R. Battey, III (Tac) and her sister Susan B. Stansell (Willie Mack). She was the granddaughter of Colden R. Battey, Sr. and Nell J. Battey and C. Alfred Lengnick and Georgie M. Lengnick, all of Beaufort. She was preceded in death by her brother, Alfred L. Battey. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Osprey Residential Village in Bluffton, SC at ospreyvillage.org. Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.
