This obituary is administered by:
Alma D. Marrier • BurlingtonAlma D. Marrier - of Burlington died peacefully Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Burlington Health and Rehab Center.Mrs. Marrier was born on June 18, 1924 in Burlington, the daughter of Henry and Dolores (Bergeron) Maynard. On November 20, 1948, she married Clifford E. Marrier at Christ the King Church, and together they raised three children in Burlington. Alma's life revolved around her family, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her beloved husband, Clifford passed away December 31, 1994. Alma worked at E.B. & A.C. Whiting Co., and at Lane Press. She was a member of Christ the King/St Anthony parish, a member of Saint Anne's, the Catholic Golden Age, the Catholic Family Fellowship, Saint Joseph Confraternity and the Blue Army of Mary. She enjoyed camping at the Camp she and Cliff bought in Duxbury when the children were teenagers. Sitting around the campfire at night and then having an early morning coffee on the back deck together were simple, but loving times cherished by both. She also enjoyed watching her birds in her flower-framed back yard, and having coffee after Mass each morning with the gang from Christ the King. After Cliff passed away, she spent many afternoons having coffee with her brothers at McDonald's. She and Cliff were fortunate enough to travel to Rome and had the amazing honor of attending a papal audience with his Holiness, Pope John Paul II at the Vatican. They also traveled to Alaska and Florida to see their son, Clifford and family, but their true love was being at Camp and their own backyard.Alma is survived by her children, Clifford, Jr. and his wife Rita, Diana and her husband John St.Louis, and Robert and his wife Louise. Eight grandchildren, Sarah Fong (Alex), Renee Taylor (Brandon), John St. Louis (Sara Quintana), Elizabeth, Melissa, Jessica Hadley (Joshua), Clifford Marrier (Samantha), and Joshua Marrier, and seven great-grandchildren, Stephen and Samantha Taylor, Sophie and James St. Louis, Ena Fong, Alyssa and Harper Marrier and Mackenzie Marrier to arrive July 2017. Alma is also survived by her sister, Pauline Flanders (Earl).
