Alma EdwardsMany - Funeral services for Alma Edwards, 106, of Many, LA, will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Leach, Sr. and Bro. Logan Brock officiating. Burial will follow in the Beulah Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at 5:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Many, LA. Alma Edwards was born on Tuesday, February 21, 1911 in Sabine Parish, LA. She passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Sabine Retirement & Rehabilitation Center in Many, LA. She served in the military stateside during WWII. Alma was an elementary school teacher in Louisiana, California, and Colorado. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry A. Edwards; parents, James and Eula Ross; sisters: Mable Ross, Katherine Derrick, and Evelyn Ross; brothers: E. C. Ross, Cecil "Doc" Ross, and William "Bill" Ross; nephew, Randall Ross and grandson, David Edwards. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Ruth Griffith and husband Darrell of Colorado Springs, CO; son, Thomas Ogle Edwards and wife Kathy of Inglewood, CA; sisters: Gladys Boice of Shreveport, LA, Bernice Williams of Shreveport, LA, Dean Corley of Many, LA and Charlsie Wright of Baton Rouge, LA; brother, Allen "Tink" Ross of Many, LA; six grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers: Mark Wright, Kenneth Roblow, Larry Ross, Darrell Griffith, Tom Edwards, and Andy Corley.
