Alma Lou VestalMarch 28, 1939 - May 20, 2017Salem - Alma Lou Vestal passed away on May 20, 2017 in Salem, due to complications following a year-long battle with cancer. She was 78.Alma was born on March 28, 1939 in Goin, Tennessee to her parents, James & Edna Dice. She married George Elvis Vestal on May 3, 1958. George & Alma moved to Salem, from Jackson, Tennessee in 1968, with their three oldest children, David, Cindy & Terry. Alma is survived by her Husband George of Salem, her son David Vestal of Tualatin, her daughter Cindy Vestal Mitchell of Damascus, her son & daughter-in-law Terry & Kim Vestal of Turner, her sons Tracy & Cory Vestal of Salem, and three grandchildren.Alma was laid to rest in a private ceremony on May 24, 2017, and is now peacefully resting at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, OR. A private celebration of life will take place on June 3 at 3:00 p.m..
