Altamont Powell, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on February 6, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on March 1, 1939, Altamont led a fulfilling life surrounded by love and family.

Altamont is survived by a legacy of ten children: John, Bob, Carter, Derrick, Janice, Ruby, Dawn, Kenneth, Joseph, and Pearl. Their passing has left a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.

Altamont enjoyed the sport of boxing and spent many hours honing their skills and staying fit. They instilled a love of the sport in their children and grandchildren, passing on their passion to future generations.

Altamont's presence in their community will be deeply missed, as their warm smile and kind heart touched the lives of many. Their memory will live on through the stories shared by those who were fortunate enough to know them.

Altamont's battle with cancer came to an end on February 6, 2025. Though they may be gone, their spirit will continue to inspire and guide their family through the difficult days ahead.
