MacKAY, Alvin JohnDecember 16, 1933 - July 31, 2017Alvin J. MacKay of Hinton, AB passed away peacefully July 31, 2017 at the Hinton Health Care Centre. Alvin was born on December 16, 1933 in MacKay, AB, the son of the late William and Jessie (Fraser) MacKay.He is survived by his wife of 61 years Betty, his children Marilyn (Joe) Carling, Brent (Louise) MacKay, grandchildren Candice (Jason) Blair; Dustin (Jen) Carling, Adam Carling, Tyler MacKay, Dayle (Hugh) McInnally, step- grandchildren Geoff (Anna) Beuerlein, Courtney Beuerlein, his special great- grandchildren, brothers Thorton (June) MacKay, Robert MacKay, nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his son Brian MacKay, sister Betty Rehn, brother Harold MacKay.Alvin lived life to the fullest, enjoying travelling, motorbiking, quadding and camping with family and friends.At Alvin's request there will be no service, the family will have a private memorial.
