It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alvin Rayford, a beloved member of the Memphis. Alvin was born on February 28, 1957, in Memphis,TN to Alvin and Oberia Rayford (procedded him in death) and passed away on June 14, 2023.

Known for his infectious smile,his inside jokes and eternal love for good BBQ. He was beloved by everyone who knew him, from his family and friends to neighbors to strangers walking down the road.

Alvin was a man of many talents, though some might argue that his greatest skill was finding a way to put hot sauce on literally everything. And i do mean EVERYTHING. If it wasn't hot he didnt like it. He had a love for life that was infectious, and he made friends wherever he went.

Alvin will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him, but we take some small comfort in the fact that he is now reunited with his beloved mother and father and two grandsons Alex and J'Shon Hunt.

In lieu of flowers, Alvin's family asks that you honor his memory by enjoying a plate of good BBQ with extra hot sauce,pickled pig feet, and some Hot Scott Peterson Sausages and cherishing the moments you have with your loved ones, just as he always did.

Alvin leaves behind 4 children Alvin (J'Shon (predeceased), Alex (predeceased), Alexa, Angel,Cincere, Aiden,Adrienne,Calvin,and Cam'Ron),Lee (Da'Jah), Candice (Marisaul,Marquell,Joi) and his baby girl Angela (Samia)

Rest in peace, Alvin. You will be missed.
