BLACK EARTH - Alyce (Crisp) Ruud died peacefully on December 4, at Heartland Country Village in Black Earth, Wisconsin, at the age of 93. Alyce was born on June 29, 1922 in Franklin, Wisconsin to Taber Boone Crisp and Della Mae (Scott) Crisp. She married Wesley Ruud in 1946. She worked for many years at Turnstyle and continued her friendships with co-workers long after it closed its doors. She loved her country, and enjoyed travel, both domestic and foreign, and was active in Sons of Norway. Since retiring she was mainly devoted to her family. Alyce is survived by her children, Karen (Owen) Burgess of Green Bay, Jan (Tom) Manchester of Mazomanie, and Jay Ruud (Stacey Jones) of Conway, Arkansas; six grandchildren: Michael (Gretchen) Burgess, Julie (Matt) Noll, Laura (Jeremy) Petersen, Paul (Kristine) Manchester, Jennifer Ruud (Gerry Bruno) and Christian (Anne) Ruud: thirteen great-grandchildren: Megan, Hayley and Tanner Burgess; Allison and Jacob Noll; Amanda and Matthew Petersen; Kaitlyn and Josh Manchester; Wesley and Samantha Ruud; Elijah and Lucas Bruno; and one great-great granddaughter, Chloe Burgess; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Wesley Ruud, her husband of 59 years; sisters Ethel and Ruth and brothers Gordon and Kenneth. A funeral is scheduled for 1:00 on Wednesday, December 9 (with visitation preceding from 12:00-1:00), at the Wilson Funeral Home, 1212 Lathrop Avenue, Racine, WI 53405, phone (262) 634-3361. Dr. Jay Ruud will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Alyces life.
