An angel gained her wings

Alyssa Stephanie Green-Smith, age 31, tragically passed away at Portneuf Medical Center on Friday, January 24, 2020. She was born August 7, 1988 in Salt Lake City to Aaron “Travis” and Michelle Green. Alyssa graduated from Brigham Young University in 2010 with a degree in elementary education and dedicated her life to educating young minds. Alyssa had an unerring ability to connect to children and motivate them to be their very best. In 2011, Alyssa married her college sweetheart, Austin Smith, and the two had three wonderful children together. She lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by everybody who knew and loved her. Alyssa is survived by her husband; Austin, her children; Daphne, Nicole, and Anna; sisters; Courtney, Sierra, and Kayla; parents; Aaron and Michelle; and her beloved extended family and friends. Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at Sims Funeral Home (139 E 2nd S) in Soda Springs, ID on January 30, 2020. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation made to a cause close to Alyssa’s heart, St. Jude’s Hospital.
