Amos Burrell Jr, 81 of Culpeper, Virginia departed this earth at his residence in Culpeper Va. on May 26, 2023.

Amos was born on December 28, 1941 to the late Amos Burrell Sr. and Amy Washington Burrell of Haywood Va. Amos joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church at an early age.

Amos was a devoted husband and father. He was a homebody and enjoyed clowning around with his children and grandchildren.

He loved reading the Popular Mechanics magazines. He was a quiet man by nature but if you was in his inner circle he always talked about inventions, cars and latest news. He was always willing to help family and friends when it came to tinkering with cars. He was a master craftsman when it came to home improvements.

Amos began his career in construction with U.S. Steel Company located in Sterling Park Va where he worked for 15 years as a Construction Superintendent. He retired in 2007 from Andrews Airforce Base as a Superintendent under Local 99 after many years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Hoffman Burrell, (one son) Amos Burrell III, (Four daughters) Sylvia Williams (Otis), Debra Cottom, Regina Burrell and Tracy Burrell.
