Amparo Joseph, beloved mother, and grandmother, passed away on April 4, 2024, in El Paso, Texas, United States. She was born on July 21, 1945, to Jesus Velarde and Manuela (Nellie) Mesa in El Paso, Texas.

Amparo is survived by her four children, David Bruce Joseph and his spouse Brenda Willer Joseph, Dawn Marie Joseph and her spouse Tito Monge, Christopher James Joseph, and Lesley Anne Joseph. She was a devoted and caring grandmother to her four grandchildren, Kaira Ashley, Sofia Renee, Elijah David and Alexis Clara.

Amparo attended Bel Air High School and graduated in 1963. Following her education, she went on to work at Farah's where she met her future husband. Together they owned and ran small businesses in the El Paso area. She ended her career at The Art Center where she dedicated many years of service before retiring in 2015. She was known for her creativity and passion for the arts, which shone through in all her work.

Amparo will be remembered for her gentle spirit, cheeky sense of humor, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
