Amy Lee Marzka, age 41, of North East, died on Monday, November 21, 2016, peacefully, at her home, surrounded by family. She was born on March 7, 1975, in Erie, Pa., to Sharon (Lapp) Swanson and the late William Swanson. Amy graduated McDowell High School in 1994 and was a stay at home mom. She was a member of the North East V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Post 4789. Amy was an avid chapstick collector and a passionate Pittsburgh Steeler fan. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and helping others. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandfather, Russell Lapp; and sister-in-law, Shelley Marzka Doyle. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Brian Marzka, whom she married August 30, 1997; children, Breana, Megan, and Lucas; mother, Sharon Swanson, great-grandmother, Margaret Lapp; sister, Shelly Kupfer (Adam); brothers-in-law, Steven Marzka (Judy) and Daniel Marzka Jr. (Linda Maas); sister-in-law, Denise Drumm; father-in-law, Daniel Marzka Sr.; mother-in-law, Patricia Marzka; several nieces and nephews and cousins; and also a yellow lab, Sullivan P.
