Andre L. Leathers Sr., 43, of Peoria, IL passed away on June 29, 2020 at 11:54 p.m. Andre was born on July 20, 1976 in Peoria to Phil hinton and Sandra Leathers, they survive. Andre graduated from Bloomington High School. He became a pillar in the Peoria Community as an assistant to Preston Jackson creating some of the most iconic sculptures in the Peoria area. He loved to use his culinary skills, creating beautiful cuisines, as he worked 20 years at The Fish House in Peoria as Head Chef. In addition to his parents he leaves to cherish his precious memory: one son: Andre L. Leathers Jr. of Peoria: five daughters: Shantel Leathers, Adriana Leathers, Whaukila Leathers, Luchisa Leathers, Shanteri Leathers all of Peoria; Frederick Leathers, Morse(Tori) Leathers, Demir Henderson, Philip Hinton, all of Peoria, and Thomas Hinton of Louisville, KY;four sisters:Ruby Robertson, Felicia Leathers, Delores Leathers, and Shanea Booker all of Peoria; 12 grandchildren and a host of family and friends whom will miss him dearly. Andre was married to Marcia Clark on August 19, 2006 and one child came from that union. Andre also has five other children with Keisha Wright. Andre professed his life to Christ at an early age growing up in a house of God. Andre enjoyed putting smiles on the faces of others. He loves spending time with family and friends and was the life of and the cook at family events. He was a loving and caring person, devoted worker, father, friend, brother, uncle, grnadpa and always thinking of others first.
