Andrea Cicirelli, 40, died on March 12, 2017 surrounded by her loving wife, children and family.Andrea was diagnosed with breast cancer 10 years ago. Through those 10 years she handled the ups and downs of the disease with grace and continued living her life with excitement, adventure and a positive attitude. Andrea always managed to have a smile on her face, which comforted those around her. She also made sure her family was a priority in her life despite her ongoing struggle with metastatic cancer.Andrea was born on March 9, 1977, the daughter of Joseph Cicirelli and Barbara (Short) Cicirelli. She was raised in Sandwich, MA. Andrea graduated from Bishop Stang High School and went on to receive her psychology degree from Wheaton College.Andrea spent a few years "wandering" after graduating college, but eventually found her passion in education. She loved spending her days teaching, learning and exploring the world with her young students.Andrea loved playing sports and was a star on the basketball court and soccer field. She spent five weeks backpacking in Ireland by herself and completed a three-month cross-country journey with a friend. During that trip she visited all of the National Parks and loved sleeping under the stars as they tented every night. Andrea also cherished time spent at the ocean. Whether sitting on the beach in the warm sun, boogie boarding, or walking the shore in the winter, Andrea was most at peace by the water. But what brought Andrea the greatest joy in life was being with her wife and two children. Andrea loved taking the kids on outdoor adventures, making projects, reading books, and especially dancing together as a family.
