Andrew "Andy" J. OvertonLansingAge 37, passed away unexpectedly April 3, 2017. He was born on August 28, 1979 in Lansing. He was a 1998 graduate of Eastern High School. Andy was a long term employee with the State Department of Corrections. He was a creative entrepreneur with numerous attempts to strike it rich. He will be remembered for his humor, infectious laugh, and his generosity to others. Surviving are his mother and step-father Kathi and Tom Mailand, father Gary Overton, sister Nicole Martinez, brothers Kevin and David Mailand, nephew Dominick Macias and niece Giana Martinez, along with a circle of very close friends. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Homes, Delta Chapel with a service beginning at 3:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Greater Lansing Food Bank, as he always wanted to help those less fortunate.
