Andrew Scott Jr., 82, A.K.A. Scottie, Junior Scott, Uncle June, Uncle Scottie, Brah, Dad, Grandpa/dad, Father, Pops, and Loving Friend of East Saint Louis, Illinois, passed Thursday, February 07, 2019 11:15pm. Andrew was born to Andrew Scott Sr.(deceased), and Laura Scott (deceased), November 21, 1936 in East Saint Louis, Illinois.
Andrew completed his studies in public school systems in East Saint Louis in 1950's and received training as bonified Welder gained CDL Transportation license in Mid-1960's. He married his Sweetheart in 1958, Lee Frances Scott (whom preceded him in death), they where joined together and started their family in East Saint Louis, the family relocated to Robbins, IL in 1970's where they purchased property. Andrew worked at I.C. Railroad, various Steel Mill coorporations as welder by trade, and later Owned & Operated Commercial Transport Business until he retired in Late 1990's.
Andrew often reflected and resented not being allowed to serve in the military during the Korean War because he was an 'only son.'
Andrew had one sister Opal Flowers-Roberson 4 children: Anthony Scott, Bryant Scott, Paula Scott, Robin Scott (whom preceded him in death).
He is survived by his 5 children Richard Scott, Eugene D. Scott, Linda Miller (Dwayne A.), Quintin Scott, and Lisa Robinson (John). He also is survived by 24 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, a host of cousins other extended family members, and friends - he never met a stranger.
